Welcome to Jackgreen

Welcome to the first issue of Jackgreen News. We have decided to produce a monthly newsletter following requests from our customers and from those interested in learning more about Jackgreen and our activities.

Please let us know any suggestions you have about what you would like to see included in further editions by emailing your comments to jackgreennews@jackgreen.com.au.

It is a very exciting time for us at Jackgreen as we start our mainstream marketing initiatives. Hopefully by now you will have seen our TV commercials starring former ‘Our House’ presenter Rebecca Gilling. Also don’t be surprised if you live in NSW and you get a knock at the door as we start to increase the amount of field Sales Agents that we have selling the Jackgreen ‘Green’ alternative.

Personally I have been with Jackgreen since its conception in 2004 and have been witness to the growth of a new and dynamic company committed to increasing the demand in the market for ‘Green’ energy. Together, we can work towards a cleaner and safer environment not only for us but for our future generations. Again welcome to Jackgreen and I invite you to get on board to do your bit for the environment.

Jackgreen – The Friendly Alternative

Jackgreen products are now fully endorsed by Planet Ark!

Recently Jackgreen and Planet Ark signed a partnership agreement that outlines the ways the two organisations can work together to meet common objectives.
Planet Ark is one of Australia’s foremost environmental organisations. They are a
not-for-profit organisation and are driven to support initiatives that change the way people behave to reduce their impact on the environment.

Some of their more visible initiatives include taking the lead on the recycling of household rubbish and utilising reusable shopping bags rather than plastic ones.
As part of the partnership, Jackgreen donates a percentage of your monthly bill to Planet Ark to use on further projects including the new Planet Ark Park environmental education facility in the Blue Mountains in NSW.

Planet Ark strongly endorses the use of ‘Green’ electricity as it is a major step towards their goal of reducing Man’s impact on the environment. More information on Planet Ark can be found at www.planetark.com

Did You Know?

Each year the electricity consumption of the average house produces nearly 8 tonnes of greenhouse gases when it is generated from fossil fuels. This is equivalent to the emissions of approximately 3 cars over a year. When the same electricity is generated from renewable sources all these emissions could be saved.

Jackgreen Fact

At Jackgreen not only are we committed to the environment through creating the demand for Green Electricity we are trying to help the environment in other ways. One of those ways is to reduce the amount of paper that produced from things such as sending bills out. When signing up with Jackgreen you have the option to receive your 6 monthly reconciliation statement via email rather than on paper.

Community Events

Jackgreen supported Lifeline at the ‘Clever Gardens of Tomorrow’ Expo held on the weekend of April 8-10 at St Ives Showground, St Ives. The event was attended by a number of enthusiastic gardeners and members of the community who were interested in the environmentally-friendly products and services on show. Proceeds from the event were donated to Lifeline.

Jackgreen Profile

Each month we will profile a member of the Jackgreen team so that you can get a better idea of the people behind the company. The first profile is of our General Manager, Strategic Operations – Ashleigh Antflick.

	Having a child of my own has heightened my awareness of the need to work towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment. My role at Jackgreen is to ensure that all the back office functions are operating smoothly. This means that our customer systems such as billing work as efficiently as possible.

We are entering into an exciting phase of operations and I look forward to working with the community towards a ‘greener’ environment.

Within minutes you’ll be converted to clean ‘Green’ electricity.
