From the Managing Director

As the Marketing campaign roles out and the number of Sales Agents increases in the field, we expect to see some great results over the next few months. The customer base is steadily growing and since promotion of the 100% 'Green' alternative has begun, Jackgreen has received encouraging feedback from members of the NSW community. If you haven't already joined Jackgreen, we encourage you to become part of the Jackgreen family and 'do your bit' for the environment.

Andrew Randall, Managing Director

Planet Ark Initiative – 'Cartridges 4 Planet Ark'

Planet Ark has introduced a year-round printer cartridge recycling program, through which people can go 'Green' at work and at home. 'Cartridges 4 Planet Ark' remanufactures or recycles all types of toner and ink cartridges from printers, fax machines and photocopiers.

In just over two years Australians have recycled one million printer cartridges and stopped them from entering landfill. There are more than 1,800 retail drop-off outlets across the country including Australia Post, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Tandy and Dick Smith Electronics. More than 7,000 businesses have also joined this free Planet Ark campaign! For more information visit www.planetark.com/cartridges.

As part of the partnership between Jackgreen and Planet Ark, a percentage of your monthly bill is donated to Planet Ark to use on further projects and environmental initiatives.
Planet Ark strongly endorses the use of 'Green' electricity as it is a major step towards their goal of reducing Man's impact on the environment.  More information on Planet Ark can be found at www.planetark.com.

Did You Know?

We emit greenhouse gases into the atmosphere in a number of ways. The consumption of electricity by households, businesses and industry contributes a significant proportion, while transport is also a growing contributor.

When oil, gas or coal burns, carbon in the fuel combines with oxygen from the air to make carbon dioxide. More than 90% of Australia's energy currently comes from coal-fired power stations, with less than 10% coming from clean renewable energy sources (such as hydro, wind and solar). The generation of electricity to support the various economic sectors in Australia contributes around 175 million tonnes of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere each year.

Jackgreen – Out in Force

Direct Sales is an integral part of the marketing strategy for Jackgreen. Electricity is generally not top of mind for consumers. Also it is normally not something that consumers want to buy and most people think of it as a commodity type service. Supply of electricity behind the scenes is a technical process and it is a lot easier for consumers to understand the product available from Jackgreen by talking to someone face-to-face about what suits their needs.  To help consumers understand our product better we employ a team of highly trained Sales Representatives.

At present, we have a number of Jackgreen Sales Representatives in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong. We aim to have more than triple the current amount of active Sales Representatives by the end of June and look forward to growing this channel with the support of our mainstream advertising and marketing initiatives.

With a steady recruitment plan and strong foundations for development, the sales team will continue to heighten the level of awareness of Jackgreen in local communities and ultimately turn the streets 'Green'.

If you or anyone you know would like to become a Direct Sales Representative for Jackgreen, send your details to sales@jackgreen.com.au.

Crispin Baynes and his crew (L to R: Justin, Stewart and Tim) from Tillergroup are the latest addition to the Jackgreen Direct Sales Channel.

Jackgreen Profile

This month's profile is on Rachel Borscz, Direct Sales Channel Manager.

I have had experience in an array of positions. My previous job was managing a direct sales team for another energy and telecommunications provider. Prior to that I was an Account Manager and Educator for a well-known international company for 3 years.

I enjoy surrounding myself with friends and family, good food and wine is a must when I'm not at work.

I have been working for Jackgreen since February 2005. My role is to manage the expansion of our Direct Sales Team, who will be working all over Sydney promoting “Green electricity at No extra cost”; These Representatives may have already come knocking at your door!

By managing the direction and focus of the direct sales channel, I ensure they achieve all sales objectives and I also oversee that they conduct themselves in a professional manner.

It is an exciting time for everyone involved with Jackgreen. The Direct Sales Team has an immense part to play in the development and growth for Jackgreen; we look forward to further expansion and big results!
