Planet Ark
National Tree Day Site National Tree Day is organised nationally by Planet Ark in association with Toyota and AMP Foundation. This year it is being held on Sunday 31 July and Jackgreen is delighted to be participating by having our own National Tree Day site! Last year there were more than 250,000 volunteers who joined together to plant a million native trees and shrubs at 3,200 sites Australia-wide. Jackgreen is going to set up an individual site (to be confirmed) where all Jackgreen customers, affiliated organisations, employees, friends, family and of course the local community are invited to get on board and help replenish the native flora that once inhabited our chosen site. Not only will you be joining Jackgreen and Planet Ark in our bid to help the environment by planting native trees and shrubs but you will have the opportunity to mix with other members of the community, meet our spokesperson and Planet Ark representative Rebecca Gilling and enjoy a barbeque at the site. By planting seedlings, we are helping to filter water, combat salinity, clean the air and increase flows into water catchments. Such environmental impacts tie in with the efforts of Jackgreen and Planet Ark to change how we treat our environment and you too can be a part of this wonderful event! For more information please send your enquiry with subject "National Tree Day" to jackgreennews@jackgreen.com.au and we will let you know how you can get involved. Did You Know? By the end of the 21st Century, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, average world temperatures are likely to be between 1.4oC and 5.8oC higher than they were in the year 1990. This is much larger than the changes observed over the 20th Century and the rate of warming is unprecedented in at least the last 10,000 years. Jackgreen – Getting the message acrossThe Jackgreen mobile billboards took to the streets of Sydney at the start of June. The two scooters drove around the city and surrounding suburbs as well as going to Balmain to prepare the people there for the Sales Representatives who were going to be knocking at their doors. The bright green billboards caught the attention of people throughout the city on their lunch breaks and brought in a lot of questions about "Who is Jackgreen?" This was definitely the result we were after. The feedback from the drivers of the scooters was very positive, reporting that people were generally interested in what we're all about - renewable energy of course! The important part of this exercise was to create awareness around the Jackgreen message and get people excited about doing something for the environment. "Not only was it a great awareness campaign but it was something a little different to mainstream advertising. It's all about catching the attention of people to get our message across" said James Myatt, General Manager - Sales and Marketing.

Jackgreen Profile Having dual roles as the Customer Services Manager and the Operations Manager for Jackgreen has allowed me to appreciate the process and initiative involved with providing a premium level of service from a front and back office perspective. Both departments aim to ensure that we resolve customer enquiries in an efficient and effective manner so our customers are happy and we can continue to support the environment as a community. With an amazing team to work with and a great product that I believe in, I find the entire process extremely rewarding. As you can imagine, work takes up a lot of my time so in my spare time I focus on spending time with my wonderful family and friends. What’s in the Pipeline?
