Media ReleaseJackgreen applauds Government Wind Farm decision25th August, 2006 Jackgreen Limited Australia’s dedicated renewable retail electricity supplier, today applauded the Wind farm decision announced by the Brack’s Government today by planning Minister Rob Hulls. The size and location of the facility enables an optimum result for the effort and investment made. More importantly it provides further renewable energy for the demand created by our customers in Victoria and more so by those surrounding the facility, said Andrew Randall Managing Director of Jackgreen. We established our renewable energy business two years ago on the premise that demand by customers for non-carbon clean renewable energy would ultimately encourage an investment climate that delivered more wind, solar and other renewable generation capacity. The wind farm at Mount Gellibrand, near Colac, in addition to enabling an increased supply of renewable energy would create significant employment and environmental benefits. The ability to supply over 133,000 homes will go a long way toward meeting the needs of some of the local Jackgreen electricity customers when the project is complete. We congratulate Energy Minister Theophanous & encourage the Victorian Government and indeed all Governments to continue the growth of non-carbon pollution-free generation. Jackgreen already buys Green Rights from the Alinta wind farm in WA and will be seeking early discussions with Pro Ventum International in relation to the output from this new facility. Jackgreen is Australia’s dedicated renewable energy retailer operating in New South Wales, Victoria and soon in South Australia.
