Jon Dee meets Al Gore for lunch.

Founder of Planet Ark Jon Dee met with climate change campaigner and former US Vice President, Al Gore, following a special luncheon event "AN AUDIENCE WITH AL GORE" in Sydney on September 14.

Jon Dee meets Al Gore for lunch

Jon - together with Jackgreen - helped launch the DVD of
Al Gore's Oscar-winning film on climate change "An Inconvenient Truth" in Australia.

As part of the launch, Jackgreen helped send out 5 million flyers containing six tips everybody can employ to help fight climate change. Jackgreen also offered public secondary schools with a copy of the DVD with accompanying lesson plans to help educate Australians. "An Inconvenient Truth" went on to become the country's highest selling documentary DVD.

Mr Gore is one of the most powerful champions of environmental awareness in the world today. Since the 2000 election he has re-channelled his energy to focus on an all-out effort to help save the planet from irrevocable change.

Mr Gore was also here to help train Australians to deliver "An Inconvenient Truth" presentations so that the climate change message gets out to more people.

The lunch event provided a chance for these two committed environmentalists to exchange strategies of their concurrent campaigns to halt climate change.
